What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with advanced academic and clinical experience, which enables him or her to diagnose and manage most common and many chronic illnesses, either independently or as part of a health care team. Working in collaboration with a physician, a nurse practitioner provides high-quality, cost-effective and individualized care for the lifespan of patient's special needs.

Laura Snider
Laura Snider, DNP, is the CEO and founder of INhouse Primary Care, a home based primary care practice that covers over twenty counties in Indiana. She founded her practice in 2007 after having worked as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) in a traditional practice. Snider leads a team of 7 NPs and support staff while continuing to have her own patient census. In 2018, she was elected to the board of AAHCM and also has been a board member of the Central Indiana Council of Aging Medical Advisory Council since 2016.
Snider was born in Kansas City, KS, and grew up outside of Indianapolis, IN. She received her nursing degree from University of Indianapolis in 1985, obtained her FNP degree from Indiana University in 1997, and became a doctor of nursing practice in 2010 after graduating from Rush University in Chicago, IL. Laura has been adjunct faculty in the FNP program at Indiana University for 17 years. She is married and has 2 daughters and 4.5 grandsons and enjoys vacationing in the Florida Keys.

Allison Harris

Allison has worked for INhouse Primary Care for several years as a registered nurse then went to Purdue University where she graduated in 2020 with her AGNP. She is a member of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Allison and her husband have two younger boys that keep them very busy. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling and hanging out with family on their family farm.

Mariah Scheker
Doctor of Nursing Practice, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified
Mariah received her Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from Purdue University in 2021. She is passionate about providing holistic care to homebound individuals. She values building trusting relationships with her patients to order provide exceptional and personalized care.
She is bilingual in Spanish and enjoys traveling internationally whenever she gets that chance, whether for mission trips or for vacation. When she is not seeing patients, she cherishes every moment with her baby girl, whom her and her husband welcomed in June 2022.

Megan Snider

Megan has worked for INhouse Primary Care for several years. She received her degree and graduated from Purdue in 2020 as an AGNP. She is a member of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Megan and her husband Chris are excited parents of 2 with one more on the way. Megan enjoys reading and taking care of her sons but also enjoys a good shopping trip every now and then.
